  • Amateur tattoo sites

I like to surf freely on the Internet and look for amateur undergroung tattoo sites. I love to watch them both if they're from American tattoo scene or even if they come out of some oriental for me places, like this tatuaze portal. They always present something interesting - sometimes I'm able to find some really amazing woman tattoo photoso, sometimes they reward me with some amazing tattoo designs set or in some cases they have some really hardcore underground tattoo articles and stuff. Most of them present poor functionality and graphics, but hell that - I'm not looking for shiny stuff. The best things are always hidden in dirt ;).

  • Medusa tattoos

My friend, who runs a tattoo studio, said that more and more people get a medusa tattoos nowadays. I asked him why do people decide to get specificly this form of a Greek tattoo. From what he understands, medusa tattoos stand for both gorgeous and lethal woman symbolics. So people who decide to get such an ink, are either a very self-assured women or men, who dealt with such ladies. Anyways medusa tattoos are really cool - some picture the medusa head (she was beheaded by a mythical hero, who avoided her deadly look), some show here in full power, with venomous snakes prepared to attack and coming out of her head. Often medusa tattoos picture this mythical Gorgon in a very sexy manner - she is half naked.

I know one thing for sure, I won't get a medusa tattoo myself and I advise to avoid women with such inks ;).

  • Bull tattoo

Recently I started to study bull tattoo meaning for my uncle. It came out that these inks are not as simple as they might seem at the first glance. My uncle is a Zodiac bull and he wanted to get a bull tattoo just for fun, though he was smart enough to check the meaning of the ink before actually getting the tattoo. Bull tattoo is not just about horoscope - bulls are considered to be important part of human nature - both in terms of agriculture and mysticism. Imagine that bull tattoo were early symbols of family protection and high fertility, what obviously comes from the role of the cattle in human agriculture.

Also bulls are considered to be often a God symbol (in number of ancient religions - i.e. in Ancient Egypt and Persia) or they can refer to a sacrifice. That's why a bull tattoo meaning is actually multifarious.

My uncle, when he read all about the bull tattoo made a short pause. He said 'I didn't know that a simple tattoo can mean that much'. We discussed this over and over and finally he decided he won't get a bull tattoo, but instead he will try to find something that suits his way of life better. Funny, isn't it?

  • Tatuaze

Tatuaze is this cool Polish tattoo scene website. I got the link from my mate in Europe and he stated that this is an example of what is being inked in Central Europe ;). As you can see from the tattoo photos - the tattoo scene down there is pretty similar to ours ;).

  • Greek tattoos

Greek tattoos are some really unique inks. Imagine that you are fascinated with philosophy and you want to honor your favorite ancient philosopher Socrates. If you get an ink with some sort of his symbol or his face - you will get a great Greek tattoo. Imagine that you're fascinated by ancient Greece mythology and you would like to choose some mythological creature or god as your tattoo designs - all these are Greek tattoos. Finally imagine that you love to read about ancient Greece history, both military and political (those hoplites, these democracies!) - you might be thinking about getting one of these Greek tattoos!

Greece affects our culture till today and it has a strong influence on modern tattoo art. Multiple people have a tattoo referring to ancient Greece culture and some even don't know what is the genesis of their "cool minotaur tattoo". Greek tattoos can be color or shaded, newschool or realistic, full back or small straps (like popular Greek key armbands) - Greek tattoos can be found everywhere!
